What is a digital business card?
A digital business card is a sleek, modern alternative to traditional paper cards. Our version is embedded with NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, allowing you to instantly share your contact details, social links, website, and more—just by tapping the card to a smartphone.
How does the NFC feature work?
When someone taps your card to their NFC-enabled smartphone, your personalized profile or link will launch instantly—no app required. For iPhones, tap near the top of the device. For Androids, tap near the center back.
What can I link to with my smart card?
You can link to:
• A custom digital profile (hosted by us)
• Your website
• Social media profiles
• Google Review Page
• Contact download (vCard)
We’ll help you set it up for maximum impact.
Is it compatible with all phones?
Most modern smartphones support NFC, including:
• iPhones (XS and newer)
• Android devices (2015 and up)
We also include a QR code on the back of every card for universal access.
Can I update the link later?
Yes. If you're using one of our hosted digital profiles, we can update your link or content at any time for a small service fee. Your first update is free.
Are these cards made of plastic or metal?
We offer both options:
• PVC for lightweight, budget-friendly options
• Metal for a premium feel, available in matte black and custom engraving or UV printing
Do I need an app to use the card?
No app is required for the recipient to access your info. You can manage updates through a web interface or reach out to us to handle edits for you.
Can I order multiple cards for a team?
Yes! We offer bulk discounts and team setup services, including branded digital profiles and team-wide link management.
What if my card gets lost?
We can transfer your profile to a new card at any time. You’ll just cover the replacement cost.
How long does it take to receive my card?
Production typically takes 2-4 business days, plus shipping. Rush options are available.
Am I scanning the card right?
How does it work?
1. Order & Confirmation
After placing your order, you’ll receive an email confirmation with detailed instructions
and next steps.
2. Precision Transfer
Once we receive your card, our team begins the transformation
process—transferring all necessary data onto your custom metal card using
advanced and secure technology.
3. EMV Chip Integration
We carefully remove the EMV chip from your original card and embed it securely
into your new metal card.
4. Fast Turnaround
Most U.S. orders are completed and returned within 5–7 business days from the
time we receive your original card.
5. You’ll Get Both Back
We’ll ship your new metal card and your original plastic card back to
you—just note that the original will no longer work once the chip has been
transferred.
Important:
Once the EMV chip is transferred, your original plastic card will no longer
function. Your new metal card will be insert and swipe ready, just like
the original.

Is my personal information safe?
Absolutely. We follow strict confidentiality and secure handling procedures throughout the entire process to ensure your personal and financial information remains protected.
What customization options are available for metal cards?
We offer a wide range of customization options, including various metal finishes, color selections, laser engraving, and UV printing. For fully personalized designs, please contact our team to discuss your vision.
How long does the card conversion take?
Our standard turnaround time is 2–3 business days from the date we receive your card, depending on your chosen customization and design approval.
Will my metal card function like my plastic card?
Yes. Your metal card will function just like your original card for chip, PIN, and magnetic stripe transactions. Please note that tap-to-pay (contactless) functionality is only available for compatible chip types. For more information on chip types please contact us: sales@fluidprintworks.com.
How should I care for my metal card?
Handle your metal card with care:
• Avoid scratching the surface.
• Keep it away from strong magnets.
• Do not drop from a height, as impact can damage the chip or internal components.
Will my card work in ATMs?
While metal cards work in most chip-insert or swipe terminals, we do not recommend using them in ATMs or machines that fully ingest the card, as they may not eject properly. If the card becomes stuck, visit your bank with a valid ID to retrieve it. For ATM access, we suggest using your mobile wallet (e.g., Apple Pay or Samsung Pay).
What happens if my bank re-issues my card?
If your bank re-issues your card due to fraud or a security concern within 90 days of your order, we will remake your metal card at no additional cost. Contact us to initiate your complimentary replacement. sales@fluidprintworks.com
What is your return policy?
You may request a return within 30 days of purchase. A $35 handling fee will be deducted to cover shipping and processing. After 30 days, all sales are considered final. However, your satisfaction matters—please reach out with any concerns, and we’ll do our best to assist.

What’s the difference between laser engraving and UV printing?
Laser engraving uses a high-powered beam to mark the surface of a material with extreme precision—ideal for metal.
UV printing uses ultraviolet light to instantly cure ink printed directly onto a surface, producing full-color, high-resolution graphics on materials like plastic, metal, glass, and more.
What materials can you engrave?
We laser engrave:
• Metal (aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, etc.)
• Certain coated plastics
If you’re unsure whether your item is engravable, just ask—we’ll test it or guide you.
What materials can you UV print on?
We UV print on:
• Metal
• PVC/plastic cards
• Acrylic sheets
• Wood panels
• Glass
We specialize in rigid substrates and flat-surface objects.
Is the engraving permanent?
Yes. Laser engraving is permanent and won’t fade, peel, or rub off. It's ideal for items that are handled frequently or exposed to wear and tear.
Is UV printing durable?
Yes, UV printing is both scratch- and water-resistant. For added protection, we offer clear coatings to enhance gloss and longevity.
Can I send my own items to be engraved or printed?
Yes, we accept customer-supplied items for both engraving and UV printing—just make sure it’s something we can safely work with. We’ll review each item for compatibility before confirming.
Do you offer custom design services?
Absolutely. Whether you have a logo, sketch, or just an idea, we’ll help design something that fits your product perfectly. We also offer vectorization for low-resolution artwork.
What file types do you accept?
For best results, we recommend vector files (AI, SVG, EPS, or PDF). For full-color UV prints, high-res PNG, JPEG, or PSD files also work. We’ll help you prep your artwork if needed.
What’s your typical turnaround time?
Most jobs are completed in 2–5 business days, depending on quantity, design complexity, and material. Rush services are available.
Do you engrave or print on curved surfaces?
• Engraving: Slight curves may be possible, but flat surfaces yield the best results.
• UV Printing: We currently only print on flat or very slightly curved surfaces due to equipment limitations.
What types of car decals do you offer?
We create fully custom decals including:
• Company logos
• Social media handles
• QR codes
• Full rear window designs
• Vinyl lettering
• Promotional or event graphics
Decals can be cut from solid-color vinyl or printed in full color, depending on your design.
How long do car decals last?
Our standard outdoor decals last 3 to 7 years, depending on material, exposure, and care. We also offer premium laminated options for added UV and scratch resistance.
Can I wash my car after applying a decal?
Yes, but we recommend waiting 48 hours after application before washing. Hand-washing is preferred—avoid high-pressure car washes directly over the decal to prolong life.
Are the decals easy to install?
Smaller decals are easy to install yourself with the included instructions. For larger decals or window wraps, we recommend professional installation—can be arranged through a third party installer.
Can I remove the decal later?
Yes. Our decals can be removed cleanly with minimal residue.
Do you offer design help?
Yes. Our in-house design team can create or format your artwork for the best fit and visibility on your vehicle. Just send your concept or logo, and we’ll handle the rest.

Can I order decals for multiple vehicles or fleets?
Definitely. We offer bulk pricing for businesses, fleet vehicles, and dealerships, with design consistency across all units.
What’s the maximum print size you can produce?
